New Advocate for Cains

Cains is pleased to announce that Heather Gordon has recently been admitted as a Manx advocate. Heather joined Cains as a trainee in September 2007 and passed the Manx Bar exams at the first attempt in May 2008.

Heather studied at Kingston University, King’s College London and College of Law, Guilford. She is currently working in Cains’ corporate department and her practice includes aviation and shipping matters.

Steven Quayle, Head of Cains’ Aviation Finance Department, said:

“We are delighted to add Heather to our ranks of Isle of Man qualified lawyers. Heather has a strong academic background that includes particular expertise in aviation and space law. Judging by her performance during her period of traineeship, we are confident that Heather will make a significant contribution to the future growth and development of Cains.”

Heather is the daughter of Jonathan Gordon who was raised on the Isle of Man and educated at King William’s College before moving to England to become a commercial airline pilot. Jonathan is currently managing director of Lydd Airport in Kent and operates an airline and charter business to and from Europe.
